Guest Room
• Please use the guest bedroom for your stay (first door to the left in the hall).
• We do not have a dresser in that room, but you are welcome to find space in the closet. There are hangars for clothes.

Bathrooms
• There are 2 bathrooms. The master bath has a shower and tub. When using the shower, it may be difficult to turn on and turning off requires some strength as well. Make sure it is turned off tightly, or it will drip.

Heating and cooling
• The heat and AC can be adjusted as necessary for your comfort. Just turn the outer ring up or down.

• The laundry is in the basement, and detergent is on top of the cabinet.
• The light in the laundry is motion-sensitive, so it will turn off once the laundry is unattended.

• Please water the plants in the house 1 cup of water every 3 days during your stay.

Security and lighting
• The house is secured with a SimpliSafe monitoring system. Contact us for entry and code operation. All exterior doors are protected. There are new smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in the hall and in the basement. We can disable remotely if necessary. You will have 20 seconds to turn off the system upon entry, and 60 seconds after arming the system when leaving.

• There are two security cameras: One outside the front door and one in the back breezeway. These will be turned off during your stay.
• The light in the living room is on a timer. Please leave it on as we like the warmth it brings to the home at night.
• There is a motion-sensing light along the side of the house from the garage to the breezeway and back door for your safety and security.
• The outdoor lights and porch lights are on a timer. Please do not switch off the light switch for the sunroom or at the front door. The switches are covered with a plastic cover plate to ensure they stay on.

Locking up
• Front door: Lock door AND storm door.
• Sunporch door in the house: Lock.
• Back door: Lock the door, but NOT the screen door.

Recycling and trash
• Trash goes in the grey bins in the driveway. Put the trash bins across the alley on Wednesday night for Thursday morning pick-up. Our neighbor will bring the bins back for you once the trash is collected.
